As you may know that the outbreak of SARS, a worldwide deadly disease, has not been effectively taken under control in Beijing, and the number of reported cases in China is, somehow, still increasing. This unfortunate situation probably will last for some time and jeopardize our ISBS 2003. Under this circumstances we have carefully evaluated all factors relating to the conference, especially the safety of participants, and taken serious consideration of the honest suggestions from the ISBS Board members, we finally decided that the situation would not allow us to stage a good conference as we planed. Having obtained the approval from the ISBS Board, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, I have to inform you with great regret that the Conference, ISBS 2003 - Beijing, will be postponed to August, 2005.
