Nationale und regionale Volleyballverbände in ganz Europa sind bestrebt, die Professionalisierung des Volleyballsports voranzutreiben. Ein Baustein dafür sind sogenannte Nachwuchs-Volleyball-Leistungszentren. Die Zentren sind in Organisation, Struktur und Konzeption oft sehr unterschiedlich aufgebaut. Ziel dieser Studie ist es, die leistungsbestimmenden Faktoren solcher Zentren herauszufinden. Hierfür wurden diese aufgrund der Qualität ihres Outputs (z. B. Anzahl von Spielern und Spielerinnen im Nationalteam) mit einem Punktesystem bewertet. In diesem Vergleich konnten signifikante Zusammenhänge zwischen den Bereichen Finanzen, Training bzw. Organisation und der Qualität des Outputs beobachtet werden. National and regional Volleyball federations in Europe are aiming to increase professionalism of Volleyball. Youth elite sports schools are one element in order to achieve this goal. These centres offen differ in their Organisation, structure, and conception. The aim ofthis study is to identify the aspects of a centre, which are crucialfor success. For this purpose the investigated centres were evaluated and ranked by a point System, based on the quality of their graduated athletes (e.g. players in national team). The study revealed significant correlations between the fields of finances, training, and Organisation and the quality of the centres' Output.
