Observations on the 2000 Olympics - an Australian perspective

Article for The Swimmer In the recent edition of the American Swimming magazine (Volume 2000, Issue 6) the US National Team Director, Dennis Pursley, made some observations on the swimming events in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. He made these observations from his perspective as the Head Coach of the highly successful USA Swimming Team that easily won the Olympic meet. In the article Pursley highlighted attributes he thought were important for success at the Olympic Games. We would like to take the opportunity to review Pursley`s observations on the Olympics and future directions from an Australian perspective.
