(The muscles fatigue of athletes sprinters and sayers, while performing 100 jumps every 20 s at maximum intensity)

Aim: The aim of the study is to test the muscle fatigue of athlete sprinters and stayers while performing 100 jumps every 20 s at maximum intensity. Subjects and method: adults (18-24 age) sprinters (n=7) and stayers (n=8) athletes. Voluntary and not voluntary muscle contractions level was recorded before the work, immediately after maximum intensity jumping and after resting for 20 min. Results: Research test showed that the eccentric-concentric exercises performed every 20 s at maximum intensity induce nonmetabolic but "structural" ("material fatigue") fatigue. However, it does not depend on the specific training loads. (from: Education. Physical Training. Sport, 1999, 1(30), 73-81) Address correspondence to E-mail: skurvydas@lkki.lt
