Intra-cycle speed variations have been widely studied. However, few studies have focused on the fatigue effect on such intra-cycle speed in freestylers. The aim of this study was to analyse such effects. Hence, a synchronised speedmeter connected with a video camera was used and 17 swimmers were recorded with and without fatigue conditions. The full cycle variables were analysed as well as the average speed of the four phases this is based on. The results show (1) differences among space-time variables in both study conditions,(2) a repetitive pattern of velocities and (3) differences in such pattern for phase 3 under fatigue conditions.
