The prooxidant-antioxidant balance in the blood of middle-distance runners
Untersuchungen von 12 Mittelstreckenläufern ergaben, dass nach einem Ausdauerbelastungstest der Stoffwechsel von Glutathion im Serum und Gesamtblut erhöht ist. Die Belastung stimuliert die Aktivitäten der antioxidativen Enzyme SOD (Superoxid-Dismutase) und CAT (-Katalase) in den Erythrozyten, hat jedoch keinen Einfluss auf die Lipid-Peroxidationsprozesse.
