The effects of COVID-19 pandemic in volleyball players and sports clubs in Greece

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR According to World Health Organization, COVID-19 is a novel form of Coronavirus which has spread from its initial identifica-tion in Wuhan (China) and has been declared a pandemic. With the continuing Coronavirus spur the public, also Volleyball athletes have been advised by health authorities to suspend training and stay indoors. Cities have taken unprecedented measures, including gyms, sport venues and all sports clubs closed. The Greek govem-ment has ordered a nationwide closure, as an emergency measure, to prevent spreading of the infection. Estimated over hundreds of thousands athletes are confined to their homes.
