Vorstellung der Trainerausbildungsinstitute Kanadas: National Coaching Institutes The National Coaching Institutes (NCI), located in Montréal, Winnipeg , Victoria and Calgary, are Canada's most comprehensive learning experience for high performance coaches. They offers a unique opportunity to learn from some of Canada's most experienced coaches and most sought-after sport science experts. The program is geared specifically to each candidate's sport, yet provides an opportunity to share common coaching elements and solutions with other students in the program. Those seeking admission to the NCI require 3M NCCP Level 3 certification, endorsement from their National Sport Federations as a 3M NCCP Level 4 candidate, and a minimum of three years' experience coaching athletes in a year-round training program. The tuition fee for the NCI is $2,000. Coaches accepted into the program may be eligible for a scholarship valued from $2,000 to $8,000. National Coaching Institute Montréal In an effort to better serve high-performance athletes and coaches in the greater Montréal region and in Québec, the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is proud to count itself among the partners of the Montreal National Multi Sport Center (NMSC). One of the key programs of the NMSC will be the National Coaching Institute (NCI), which will offer a variety of training and professional development activities for high-performance coaches. Such institutes are in place in Victoria, British Columbia, since l986 and in Calgary, Alberta, since l994. The programs of the NCI will encompass the following areas: sport sciences, leadership and intervention skills, sport pedagogy, specific practical and technical aspects of various disciplines at the elite level, and opportunities to coach high-level athletes. Coaches who graduate from the NCI will receive a diploma from the institute and will also be certified at Level 4 of the 3M National Coaching Certification Program (3M NCCP). National Coaching Institute Victoria The National Coaching Institute Victoria offers an 8-month residential program for coaches on leave from a coaching position or on a scheduled sabbatical. A 13-month program, which runs from August to September of the following year, and a 25-month program, is also available. For part-time students, 3M NCCP Level 4 tasks are scheduled during weekends on the Lower Mainland to allow coaches to continue their coach education which working full-time. Coaches graduating from the NCI Victoria will be granted the NCI Diploma in Coaching and Level 4 certification; 3M National Coaching Certification Program. National Coaching Institute Victoria The NCI Victoria is open to coaches in these sports: Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Athletics, Sailing, Field Hockey, Rowing, Swimming, Kayak, Rugby National Coaching Institute Calgary The NCI Calgary offers a 9-month full-time study program leading to the NCI Diploma in Coaching and Level 4 certification 3M National Coaching Certification Program. A part-time option for coaches who wish to extend their studies over a two-year period and a distance learning option is also offered for some 3M NCCP Level 4 Tasks. In addition, the NCI Associate Coach Program provides selected coaches who have already completed a significant number of Level 4 & 5 Tasks with the opportunity for advanced training. National Coaching Institute Calgary The NCI Calgary is open to coaches in these sports: Alpine ski, Freestyle ski, Athletics, Ice hockey, Cycling, Badminton, Luge, Biathlon, Speed Skating, Volleyball, Bobsleigh, Swimming, Synchro Swim, Cross-country ski, Figure Skating.
