Vzaimosvjaz' takticeskich variantov prochoždenija distancii na tocnost' strel'by, distancionnuju skorost' i itogovyj rezul'tat v gonke u biatlonistov vysokogo klassa

(Interdependance of tactical variants of passaging the distance on the accuracy of the shooting, distance speed and the outcome of the race of the high-class biathlete )

The aim of the work was to determine the relationship of the main components of the sports result with the tactics of passing the distance and with the final result of high-class biathletes in the World Cup races. The records of five best male biathletes in Russia were analyzed within 102 races of the World Cup 2016/2017 season, in all disciplines. The research found, that the accuracy of shooting while standing is higher when biathlete has a relatively slow start with the fast last lap of the distance in the sprint and pursuit. However, the layout of the distance practically does not affect the final result in any biathlon discipline. It has been found that the shooting accuracy is higher while standing and lying at relatively low or medium speed of "legs" in the sprint, but the accuracy of shooting deteriorate when an athlete tries (or is able) to demonstrate the highest speed for itself.
