Prediction of 2000 m rowing performance in females using indices of anaerobic and aerobic power

(Prediction of 2000 m rowing performance in females using indices of anaerobic and aerobic power )

Aerobic and anaerobic physiological predictors of 2,000 m ergometer rowing performance were determined in female rowers (N = 12). Blood lactic acid, glucose, and VO2 were measured during an incremental test on a Concept II rowing ergometer. Results showed that a 2,000-m ergometer performance was governed by both anaerobic and aerobic factors. Each had similar correlations with performance. Implication. Ergometer rowing performance is related to both aerobic and anaerobic factors.
