(The influence of paddle parameters on the stroke kinematics in canoeing)
Modern manufacturing companies offer a large selection of paddles both in the shape of the blades and in their area. The work deals with the search of the regulations of the effect of different paddles on the kinematics of kayaking technique. The study revealed that the increase in the area of the paddle (by 6.2%) significantly affects the parameters of the technique: increasesthe time of the stroke (by 13%), reduces the rate (by 10%), increases the displacement of the boat for the stroke (by 8%), reduces the angular velocity of the paddle (by 44%). The changes in the length of the paddle are also extremely significant. In the experiment, the paddle was increased by 1.8 % (from 220 to 224 cm), which led to significant changes in the kinematiccharacteristics: the stroke time increased (by 23%), the kayaking rate fell by 30%, the displacement of the boat increased by 12%, the average speed reduced by 12%.
