Comparison of top level athlete`s core strength in different kinds of sport
The results showed that the measuring unit core strength diagnostics could be applied in different sports. It took individual anthropometric features into account. Comparing with a normal population in rotation the elite athletes showed significantly different values. Comparing the athletes in different sports we found the highest values for the canoeists. That obviously is confirms the special requirements towards core muscles in this sport and stresses that in training of core muscles unstable surfaces should be preferred. In sports with asymmetric muscular requests/load periods of specific training result in significant functional dysbalances which should to be equalled in period of general training.
