Eight-week preparatory training program for the Balkan kickboxing championship

Kick-boxing is characterized by sports parameters which are a result of numerous adaptive processes of the physiological systems. One of the most important is reduction of the process of creating and accumulating lactates as one of the causes that leads to fatigue. The eight-week preparatory training program of the vice-champion consisted of increasing physical parameters gradually and progressively. The lactate training program was conducted 27 times with the exact number of repetitions in 1 to 3 minutes duration, followed by 1-3 minutes rest. The sixteen intermediary training programs included 3-9 minutes exercises and 3-9 minutes rest periods in line with a schedule and repeated 6 times. The thirteen aerobic training programs were performed after 8-12 hours of rest with gradually increased timings of 30-120 min. of physical activity (running). The validity for the efficiency of the performed training program was the invariant lactate curve (2-6mol/l) during increasing the intensity and the time duration of the physical activity. The training program that increased the physical capacities of the vice - champion and caused physiological and biochemical adaptation of his lactate system is a combination of the three types of training: lactate, intermediary and aerobic.
