Der Beitrag analysiert die optimale Strategienwahl im Fußball durch eine Simulation der Erwartungswerte für den Ausgang des Spiels unter verschiedenen Strategien sowohl für die Zwei- als auch die Drei-Punkte-Regel. Abhängig von der Strategie der gegnerischen Mannschaft werden optimale Strategien bei unentschiedenem Spielstand und Führung einer Mannschaft anhand von Nash-Gleichgewichten dargestellt. This contribution analyses the optimal strategy selection in soccer using a simulation of expected payoffs for game outcome following different strategies for both the two-point and three-point rules. Depending on the strategy pursued by the opposing team, optimal strategies are presented for situations involving a tied score and one team holding the lead based on Nash equilibria.
