(Considerations of the most frequent men and women football-players injuries and their reasons)

The aim of this work was to evaluate the frequency and type of sport injuries of silesian-central sport`s region men and women football-players. The investigation group considered of 208 sportsmen, 176 first, second and third mens` football leagues and 32 first women`s league ones. Data of the sufferes injuries contained the period of the whole sport`s career, while the average time of practise was 12 years ± 8. Specially prepared inquiry was used to collect sets of detailed information. There were only 6 sportsmen (3%) of the whole group who come off injuried. The other persons - 202 (97%) got 1347 traumas. Contusions were the most frequent injuries, they composed 25% of whole the dysfunctions. Impartments of ligamentous-meniscoidal system of the knee joint constistuted 10%, fractures and ruptures 10%, subluxations 8%, luxations 4% of total numbar of all the injuries. There were the knee joint (26%) and ankle joint (23%) most often hurt, while the hip and ulnar joints were disturbed wery ralery (3%). Quadriceps muscle of the thigh (6%) and Achilles tendon (5%) were the regions of the most frequent lesions considering muscular system. Incidence of trauma of evaluated group was very high, for 97% of sportsmen experienced injuries of locomotor system. Taking into consideration average time of sport`s career and total number of traumas it results that every football-player falls 6,6 different kinds of injuries. It turned out that the most dangerous is starting season (game: 67%, training: 22% of all the problems, and that the safest is preparatory period (training and contol game 11%). Irregularity to the rules was the most common reason of all the traumas (73%) both during the champions - and control games.
