Perceptions and attitudes toward the use of wearable technology in the dance studio environment

Key Points • Attitudes toward WT were modest among dancers, teachers, and dance parents in our study, possibly influenced by participants` high WT self-efficacy. • Permission to use WT in the studio was identified as a barrier for WT use. • Smartwatches were the most commonly used WT device in the dance studio by dancers and teachers, while use of wristband activity trackers was most commonly reported by dance parents reporting on behalf of their children.
