The new variety of basketball 3x3 managed to gain popularity in a short amount of time and make many people practice this format worldwide. Proof of this is the inclusion of 3x3 basketball as an official sport of the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020. In this study we aim to acquaint the audience with the system of the Olympic tournament, to point out some features of the rules of the game 3x3 basketball and to establish the shot accuracy of the eight men's teams participating in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Tournament, from the possible distances - for one and two points, as well as the success in shooting from the foul line. The average performance per match of each team and the place in the final ranking in the preliminary (group) phase and the final ranking of the Olympic Games were established by making the appropriate conclusions and analyzes. The number of attempts made and the number of successful shots were also determined as well as the percentage of successfully realized points from the three mentioned positions was calculated, for each one separately and the total success rate of shots in percentages. The results between the participating teams were compared, the final ranking was analyzed in relation to the obtained results, as well as the relationship between the success and the ranking
