The utilisation of a bicycle brake power meter during cross-country mountain biking
In addition to physical fitness capacities, empirical evidence indicates that the manoeuvring of a bicycle is important for cycling performance; however, no commercial device is currently available to assess performance outside of propulsive power meters. Therefore, this investigation sought to determine the accuracy of a novel device designed to measure braking power on a bicycle and to quantify these measures during a multi-lap cross-country mountain bike (XCO-MTB) time trial.
